Background...
I grew up in the Washington D.C. area and was very ambitious. I studied hard in high school, attended a prestigious college, landed a high paying corporate job and embarked on building my resume.
I thought the path to happiness meant checking the right boxes and achieving the approval of others. My corporate career first took me to Minneapolis and then to New York city. I was earning a lot of money and felt I was doing all the right things to be successful. However, it took me nearly a decade to realize that I wasn't happy.
My performance at work began to suffer and I simply had zero motivation to turn it around. Not too long after, I fired from my job, disillusioned and, for the first time in my life, I had no idea what to do next. I decided to take a break and move back home to D.C. (and yes..to live with my parents).

Get knocked down. Get back up. Repeat.
I met up with an old college friend who had completely turned her life around through work with a life coach. She highly recommended that I try coaching and, given my situation, I figured I'd give it a shot. After hiring my own coach, Selena, I came into my first few sessions not really expecting much, but I was more than a little surprised by how much insight I gained.
With Selena's partnership, I came to realize that my professional career consumed my identity. I had long since stopped doing the things that made me happy: traveling, performing stand-up comedy, playing tennis. I slowly began to do all these activities again.

From a professional standpoint, she helped me gain clarity that I felt stifled in a corporate atmosphere; I wanted to be my own boss. I told Selena that I had always been interested in entrepreneurship, but my constant procrastination kept me from moving forward.
Ultimately, my coach helped give me the necessary structure to overcome these obstacles and start my own successful tutoring business. Later, this gave me the inspiration to create a non-profit.

Becoming a Coach...
Through Langley Prep and The Ana Project, I have had the privilege to help hundreds of students achieve their college dreams. What was most rewarding wasn't really teaching the specific testing concepts and strategies, but coaching my students to give them the confidence that they didn't know they had.
This is what ultimately led me to take yet another leap of faith and embark on a one year Accredited Coach Training Program (ACTP) through Accomplishment Coaching, which was both the hardest and most rewarding thing I've done in my life. It forced me to be vulnerable, take a hard look at myself and remove any barriers in the way of connecting with both myself and other human beings.
That's pretty much it! Fast forward to right now:
I'm pretty much the greatest life coach in the history of the world.
No, I'm kidding. I'm one of the greatest... definitely in the top ten.
See how humble I am?
